I have no idea where I am
@jonKranked I think it was you who said something about fewer election signs or something similar.

Wanted to mention to everyone here that where I train for thru hiking in NC is extremely Red. Numerous Confederate Flags and Trump signs from previous elections adorn many front yards. From home to the trail there are very few yard signs and almost no banners for either candidate. You would hardly know it’s an election year. And another very telling indicator is the three fire stations I passed, all had Harris signs out front.

Not making any predictions, just observations.

My observations on local signage re: d2s are that the houses that only have 1 or 2 signs are the minority. Most of them have like a dozen or more, plus flags, etc

Riding past the morgue.
It's anecdotal for sure, and probably has more to do with proximity to the college, but I'm definitely seeing more Harris signs that Trump signs these days. Not sure I'd be seeing the same on the East side but we don't go there anymore.

Its impossible that Trump won over anyone in the last four years. He only lost support...
While this is true, the question is whether there's enough of his base to support him, and whether Kamala can rally otherwise uninterested people to vote for her. Personally, I still find her just "meh" as a candidate...but when the alternative threatened to wreak vengeance on those who voted against him, I'm good with her. My hope is that there are enough women on the sidelines that said "eh I dunno" in 2016 and now are going to vote against their MAGA spouse's wishes.

So if he loses (and FSM willing the R's lose the House) do you think this is the end of MAGA? or will Don Jr. take the wheel?
I think, if it's a sweep, then we'll likely see normal republicans return to power. I imagine in 4 years we'll see a more contested battle between a MAGat and a Haley-type republican, but I think the most likely scenario is a squeeker for trump or a landslide for harris at this point.

Might be the end of Trump flavored MAGA, but it's my belief that the movement as a whole is only a symptom of a much deeper corruption in the American Psyche.
If Trump doesnt win, I think the next candidate will be even more extreme.
Appealing to moderates doesnt work. Agitating the core and increasing the % of actual voters from the core seems to work better.

MAGA, Tea Party, Q,, whatever. This group of voters is out there and looking for a leader and someone is going to try to harness them.

Possible they could spin off to a Third (Reich) Party and take the brigade of dipshits with them

alienating them likely won't work either
GOP strategy suggest they arent afraid.
Doesnt matter if they arent motivated enough to vote.

mitt and mccain were pretty normal. unfortunately obama out-normaled romney and mccain picked parasailin' sara palin.

edit: unfortunately for normal republicans.
Mccain was a respectable guy.
Never understood why he went with Palin. Marketing decision imposed by the party?

I think he was a few years too early on the MAGA movement. I think they wanted to capitalize on the deplorables but swung and missed

In a van.... down by the river
His story sounds like a giant pile of bullshit. I suspect that it could be completely cleared up by him releasing the hospital record... but I suspect he doesn't want to release the information because it *will* clear things up.

Come on Tester one more time:

Holy shit - from @Montana rider's article:

"There’s also Sheehy’s statements about the medical records — he says they don’t exist."

Motherfucker's a lying sack of shit.
