Trump is the only polticial candidate in the history of the USA to run against women. What a joke. I am not sexist but apparently our country is.

Whats easier to vote for, the old white male or the black woman?
It had nothing to do with her being a woman and everything to do with her incompetency. She ran on hope & joy, but failed to say what she'd do differently with her current admin administration. She was put in charge of the boarder and didn't do anything to tray and fix it until the last minute. She wouldn't sit down and do an actual interview without knowing the questions being asked ahead of time. She was a shitty prosecutor here in my my area of California and slept her way to the top with Willie Brown. She back prop 47 in which sent crime here in CA through the roof. She wouldn't even answer how she voted for prop 36 in which would make smaller crimes more punishable. At end of the she was too progressive for the rest of the country and is why Trump is going to be in the Whitehouse in Jan.

10 million fewer votes. Racism, bigotry, misogyny, Christian Nationalism and white supremacy were openly displayed, trumpeted, and celebrated.

Tens of millions of Americans saw that and wanted all of that, and 10 million people decided it wasn't worth bothering about. There is no sugar coating this. This is exactly what a majority of Americans want, this isn't a con or a trick. They were painfully direct with their intention and voters said "please sir, may I have another". What an absolute failure of education and society in general.
You are aware the Hispanic vote for Trump is up 6% and the black vote 7%, so your theory goes out the window.

while the majority of this is yet again bullshit, but she did fail to differentiate herself from Biden and I think the border was a huge factor and voters thought that trump would be better for it, those points I agree with. I don't know if it was posted here, but the two biggest factors were "the fall of democracy" and "immigration", so if 31% percent of the population is focused on that, it's going to be a tough one to show your strength.

I'm paraphrasing because I don't remember the exact quote, but David Frum said in an article in the Atlantic a while back that if you "convince people that only a fascist will secure the border, and they will vote for a fascist". I'll see if I can find it again.

Edit: much older article than I recalled.

The economy was also a huge issue. My monthly expenses are up around $1000 a month, gas here in CA is still outrageous. Anyways, they played Trump as Hitler instead of focusing on what the democrats felt what was best for America. All the left had was abortion & Jan 6 to run on and it proved to be not nearly enough. Harris IMO is way too progressive for this country and that's why she picked Walz. Shapiro being Jewish and a moderate didn't fit her agenda, plus he'd run circles around Harris. I can see Shapiro running in 28, and with his current agenda, wouldn't be a bad choice. Stay away Newsom as he'll probably run in 28 too. He destroyed San Francisco & California and would be a disaster for this country.

Sounds like you need to cut out avocado toast and lattes?

Really looking forward to cheap groceries once the entire workforce responsible for producing them has been deported. That'll save everyone money.

I think the worst thing about this will be the gloating of people like you, Brian.

Most of those decrying the border situation live nowhere near the border, and are dependant upon those who come through the border to harvest their food, mow their lawns and perform other menial tasks for their lord and ladyships. The "...they bring drugs/crime/other assorted pestilence and take our jobs..." cry is a total red herring.

She campaigned on hope and love, concepts that this country is obviously unable to understand. He campaigned on hatred and vengeance, concepts that apparently most of us understand and embrace. Neither had clear cut anything, only ideas- his far more vague than hers.

What worries me most are his threats of retaliation and vengeance against those who stood against him. I sincerely hope that somehow there is a sane voice left in the GoP that can talk some sense into someone that has an effect on him...

On a side note, I bet his current wife is super pissed right now.

yeah, when you have like 75% turnover of your administration with those 75% calling you absolutely fucking nuts, there's not way that we don't end up worse. Remember covid? imagine that with RFK at the helm.

but yeah, I can't wait to see if melania shows up to the innauguration

It absolutely was and is, sad that 100% of economists agree that it will be way worse when the tariffs go into effect. Get your mexican made GM product now! In three years we'll see $4.50 gas again and electronics will be astronomical (those are all made overseas).

I think you guys are all over reacting. What could possibly go wrong after:

1. We villainize and try to eliminate the folks that do most of our menial labor
2. We Increase prices on a significant chunk of consumer and oem products
3. We Rollback environmental protections
4We End Obama-care protections

I am sure the US (and world) economy will be fine after that.

Edit: I am not even getting into social ramifications, bc most here are upper middle class white men that aren’t likely to be affected in the short term.

I live and breathe agriculture. You know why eggs are expensive? Because we live in a capitalist society and they fucking can be. You know why beef is expensive? Because it fucking can be. I could go on. Please tell me Trumps economic plan to make it great? Tariffs? You think food is expensive now? Hold onto your ass.

I read an interesting point today.
If population growth in the US will come from inmigration, you can expect (unless the inmigrants come from western europe) the US to become more conservative, as the world is far more conservative than the US
