so.... now that dark brandon has dropped out of the race, some repubs are calling for him to resign. i'm guessing that they conveniently forgot that as the current VP Harris would become president now if biden resigned. that would technically make her the incumbent, and historically that would improve her chances for re-election.

The Trump campaign filed a complaint today with the Federal Election Commission accusing Harris, Biden and others of violating campaign finance laws by allowing Harris to take over more than $90 million in campaign funds this week.

According to a copy of the complaint obtained by NBC News, Trump’s legal team said Harris engaged in a “brazen money grab.”

In an interview, Democratic FEC member Dara Lindenbaum said that there was no violation of election laws because Harris’ name was already included in the original paperwork filed with the commission.

"It’s a shared campaign committee between the presidential candidate and the vice presidential candidate,” Lindenbaum said. “Both of their names are on the forms that they file with the FEC as the candidates, so the vice president can quite clearly continue on with it.”

I mean, c’mon, look at the big old mess this voting nonsense got us into in the first place. Probably better to eliminate the threat. Way too dangerous in the hands of the general public.

Interesting point I saw on a friend's FB post.
From today on, we will also refer to our candidate as HARRIS. When we use her first name while male candidates go by their last name, we put her in a diminutive position.

I noticed the change this evening as well. Some are using first and last name, some just Harris.
I have mixed feelings on the topic. I understand the traditional last name usage for respect. However, I think Kamala has more of an identity/brand than Harris. On the other hand, Kamala has a variability in the pronunciation that Harris doesn’t, and some might intentionally mispronounce the name for subversive reasons.

All that said, the tradition has been last or first and last, so consistent adherence to that is reasonable and appropriate.

Ah yes, who among us doesn't remember studying Professor Suggon Deeznuts in Speech and Debate class?

What a pathetic loser Musk is. Christ Almighty. :disgust:. All the money in the world and he can't buy an ounce of class.
