End of the day, Trump won the electoral & the popular vote. Pretty much equates to over half the voters didn't like where this country was headed. The democratic party was going too far left for America and need to get back to the center. Anyways its the left that wants to mandate all electric cars & appliances. In California alone in 2030 they are no longer allowing gas burring furnaces and water heaters, they want all EV cars too. The cost of electricity here in CA is outrageous and the cost of adding solar is outrageous. We don't have the power grid to support all the electricity especially during the summer with the rolling blackouts and are being told when we can and can't use our power. Now that to me is authoritarian pushed by the democratic agenda. We will tell you what you can & can't have. So yes, voted for TRUMP!
Good job climate change isn’t real eh, you selfish moron.

In Missouri, policies broadly backed by Democrats won popular support. Voters this year approved statewide ballot measures guaranteeing abortion rights, raising the minimum wage and mandating paid sick leave.

Harris, though? Blown out by 15 points.

In Kentucky — the same state that reelected a Democratic governor, Andy Beshear, last year in a campaign that focused largely on cultural battles like abortion rights and transgender rights — voters resoundingly rejected a proposed school voucher program.

They also rejected Harris, handing Trump a 30-point victory.

Virtually across the board, Trump picked up even more votes in the largely White, working-class, rural regions where Republicans have long dominated. Those marginal gains made the challenge for Harris of putting together a winning coalition even more daunting — and, ultimately, impossible.

What Democrats will have to grapple with as the party enters a period of soul-searching is why the national party’s brand is so toxic with voters who have sided with the party on policy, and at times handed the party local victories.

I disagree. Democrats and americans in general will have to come to grips with the fact that the overwhelming majority of this country is racist, misogynist, selfish and brain-washed by the cult of the "american dream."

Anyone calling a black woman with a message of "let's make sure everyone gets a fair chance" toxic is, in fact, the toxic one.

If you can get away with it, it's ok. If you can make money from it, it's ok. If it hurts other people, it's ok. We are entering the age of individualism and FSM help us if we ever have to come together as a country for some serious threat. I'll just figure everyone is on their own.

Has nothing to do with being racist or misogynistic. Has to do with she has been proven to be highly incompetent. She slept her way to the top with Willie Brown (mayor of San Francisco) Remember in 2020 she was the first one to drop out of the presidential race because she was so unpopular. So why would that change now? She couldn’t answer a question other than she was raised in a middle class family. She had nothing to offer anyone except for hope & joy. She was asked if she’d do anything different than what Biden did and she said nothing came to mind. So stop with the CNN, CBS, ABC & MSNBC bullshit. The Latino vote was up 6% and the black vote up 7% so I guess you are calling them racist too? Have you ever stopped and think of one thriving democratic run city? Chicago, Oakland, Detroit, San Francisco for example has failed their citizens for decades while constantly promising them everything. Ever think they are finally looking for change because what they’ve been promised for years doesn’t and never has worked?

Of course, you see the blatant sexism here too, that a woman can't stand on their own merits. Remember, Brain is the only person in the history of the universe that ever "worked hard". If anyone else got to "the top", it's because they cheated. What did Trump say about this? Oh yeah, he said he was a in a helicopter with Willie Brown...but he was experiencing dementia, because he was never in a helicopter with Willie Brown. Look it up, I dare you. But yeah, let's vote for a rapist that paid off people they had sex with out of wedlock to be quiet. This is the alternate reality that people like Brain live in.

It’s real. Climate changes everyday. It’s now getting cold here, so you’re 100% correct. Keep drinking the kool aid. LOL
That’s called ‘weather’, brian. You should maybe learn what words mean. Is that why you voted for an illiterate rapist? Because you don’t understand what those words mean?

Exactly, it’s called weather and the earth freezes and warms up over the course of 10’s of thousands of years. So where are we in this cycle? The “experts” have been screaming “global warming” for decades and nothing has changed. Do we need clean air & water? 100% we do. Do you know the amount of energy & pollution it takes to mine all that lithium, cobalt & nickel needed for those batteries? What about the disposable of those EV car batteries let’s say in 10-15 years? What kind of impact will that have on the environment? China manufacturers most of the world’s solar panels and are a huge contributor towards pollution in the manufacturing process. Funny but I don’t see you crying about that. Probably because you believe in the battery and solar panel fairy and think they just magically appear.

FYI, Trump was never “convicted” of rape

Of course women can stand on their own merits. However Kamala was a blatant DEI choice. Biden said after nominated, he was going to pick a woman and a person of color. If he would have said I'm choosing a person I feel most qualified for the position, that's a different story. Kamala boasted about being a prosecutor, but records show she's only was involved in 7-10 cases in her career. Not a very extensive resume to boast how "qualified" she was. Trump may have made that error as Brown was in office from 1996-2004 so that was 20+ years ago. What about Biden's Uncle Boise being eaten by cannibals? Now that's an awesome tale!

Have you choose a country to move to yet? I'm sure there has to be a great one that shares all your ideology. Seems like you're having such a difficult time excepting your new president. If you do stay, do you think he'll lock you up in a camp along with everyone else on the far left? It's possible, right? LOL!

"Try" means go to trial, which as a %, very few cases actually do. Prosecute, which is what prosecutors do, is a far larger number. It's not 7-10. Just the fact that you don't know that shows the ignorance.

Additionally, one of the persons we are talking about is a prosecutor. The other is a rapist.

I also like the equivalency here, you are implying that Biden was senile/had dementia for saying something that about their uncle that was untrue. So are you admitting that Trump is also senile/has dementia because he claimed to be in a helicopter with Willie Brown? In other words, do you judge both of them the same?

Somehow I started getting IBEW posts on Reddit and it's interesting to see folks calling out Trump supporters. "If you belong to a union, how the fuck can you vote for Trump?"

I obviously have the same question, but to see so many of these just blows my mind.

First 10 minutes of the latest Sam Harris podcast opens with an interesting perspective. He starts by saying that there is no one reason for the Harris loss and that everyone will have a pet cause being the primary driver. He then focuses on the influence of trans issues, claiming he knew of people voting Trump only a a reaction to the left's support of trans people, and citing how trans issues were a driving force behind Musk's support of Trump.

I can't say he's wrong about the complexity of the issue was a bridge too far for many voters. There was simply no way Harris and the left was going to leverage their support for this minority group into an advantageous position in the current election cycle.

... he goes on to talk about the pitfalls of identity politics in modern times.

And you don't judge the same either? Its been quite obvious Biden's gears have been slipping for at least the last 3 years, however the left media kept the obvious from their viewers. You seriously think it was just the debate with Trump, Biden's mental acuity came to light? He should have been out years ago, and to be quite honest I would have bet the farm Kamala would be president because of title 25. The left now blames Biden for not getting out sooner when it was Pelosi, Obama & Schumer who booted him out streamlining Harris into the nomination spot without any other potential candidates. It was calculated, the left was convinced Kamala would waltz into the White House and they would continue the Obama, Biden agenda now with Kamala, however it backfired.

There was still no proof of rape and the jury determined that. Alleged sexual assault how many years later? Did he ever hook up with E. Jean Carroll? Possibly. If something happen between them, was it consensual at the time? Possibly. Why did it take so long to come to light if it was alleged rape? Why did it only first come out in her book? The problem is women aren't held accountable for false allegations and its no skin off their backs as they have nothing to lose in these cases. I'm not defending Trump by saying nothing happened, but sometimes one needs to question the motive and this goes for any sexual assault case for that matter.

Brian, have you ever actually had a conversation with a woman in your life?

I guess when the world appears overly complex some people can be persuaded to endorse a leader with a simple plan. Even if it’s oversimplified and enables that leader’s personal gain.
