I just want this election to be over already so I can either get on with the hippie taunting or get me a "Dont blame me, I voted for Cheney" bumper sticker.

Bush was better tonite BTW.

My favorite part of the debate was the Supreme Court Appointments question. I mean, Dred Scott? That's the best you've got? Two things people in this country feel no sympathy for: slavery and Nazis. Way to take a stand Bush, not appointing judges who are subjective and use their power to advocate slavery.

Better than Kerry, or better than he was last time?

I think he does a better job in a more conversational format like tonight.
He did a much better job IMO of appearing (even if that isnt the case) to be speaking his mind as opposed to making prepared statements.

I just meant better than last time. He simply doesnt posess the skills to really BEAT kerry in a debate format, but he at least held his own a bit. I think this debate will help him overall though.

Ughh...my condolences, that's a nasty smoky old hotel. Nice pool though, if you're into the geriatric crowd :D

The poolside fashion is called "old leather."

I think the Excalibur is the worst place I've ever been. Ever.

Vegas disgusts me.

A town specificly designed to separate people from their money. I wish I could figure out how to apply the psychology of this place to the bike biz, we'd put GM outta biddness.
The place is dirty. Everything smells like a wet ashtray. It's loud (not so hot when you have partial deafness). The carpet is ugly. Lights flashing all over the place. Skeezy prostitutes all over.

Nasty.

as did 99 of the 100 senators. post-9/11 hysteria was still in high effect, and no one even had time to review it thoroughly, let alone pick it apart.

this is an interesting read (from a thread i posted here earlier) about the atmosphere and events surrounding the patriot act's passage: http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&contentId=A1999-2002Oct22&notFound=true
So first he didn't rubber stamp it, then you imply that "everyone's doin' it", and he came out last night and said he absolutely supports it. So if he didn't have "time to review it thoroughly, let alone pick it apart" then what does rubber-stamping it mean and how did he not do it?

I actually thought Kerry did a great job last night, but I still don't trust him any more than I trust GW...

rubber stamping it would be what gwb did last night, basically saying it's all above reproach. kerry said that parts are indeed needed but that the whole thing needed a thorough review so that abuses are not repeated. such abuses include the plight of those interned at guantanamo without being charged or allowed to contact anyone, and incorrect classification of crimes as "terrorism related" so that judicial oversight is dodged.

so you trust GWB more, a guy whose battlehorse for this campaign (in the obvious failure of his 4 years, and the lack of any sound argument) is the pre-teen argument of, (i take the freedom to interpretate what i heard him saying in the 2 debates) roughly "I know where i go, i never change my mind, i do not listen to others, and god bless america"

after labeling kerry a flip-flopper for the strategical purpose of marketing himself as the opposite of that, rather than a sound plan on anything???

who is playing the "anything but my oppponent" card now, beeeeeeeyotch????

I need some help here. I didnt watch the debates because I had to do anything else.

WHo actually won that one?
No one.
Bush did alot better than last time and Kerry wasnt quite as sharp so it was pretty lame in the end. Each party will say their guy won, though.
