New road frame is BB386, which is some amalgamation of like 8 different other standards.
Anyways, I plan on running 24mm shimano cranks, and have narrowed my options to either a Rotor 4624 press-in BB or the wheels MFG screw-in press-in bottom bracket. I like the idea of angular contact bearings, but I see two issues- I need two special tools for BB installation, and the non-drive side cup requires spinning inside the BB shell to reach full-terq.
Is the wheelz mfg option worth the upgrade ($35) over the rotor flavor? I think I like the relatively simple installation of the rotor but haven't made up my mind.
