What are the options? Right now we are using an HP Officejet K5400. Now, our boss is dead set on refilling cartridges instead of buying new ones. We do use the printer very heavily on a daily bases and the printer isnt responding very well to the refills. Any ideas on alternatives? Lazer printer? cheap place to buy new cartridges? or a certain way to refill old cartridges?

Everybody of coarse is pretty bummed about using the refills because they arn't working but the company refuses to buy new ones.

thanks all

yeah that's what i would have thought, but we're usually behind the curve on these issues. Any disadvantages to the laser printer you're aware of? I mean we use the printer
a good bit and printing in color as well. So we would be buying "new" cartridges all the time if we didnt refill. Any disadvantage to using a laser printer to this extent? The words Laser Printer were mentioned before but a few of the big heads just gasped thinking they were way to expensive. But i see them comparable in price to these inkjets and such so...

laserjets can't produce nearly the color quality of inkjets. Every place I've worked has had a laserjet for B&W printing (which is the bulk of the printouts) and a separate printer for color, whether its color laser or inkjet, or both. Lasers also print much faster than inkjet.
