Dear PTC Customer,
This letter is to inform you of an interoperability issue related to the use of PTC's software solutions with Internet Explorer 7.
Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 7, and plans to start delivering it to users via a high priority Automatic Update as early as November 1, 2006. PTC's products have not yet been certified for use with Internet Explorer 7, so PTC recommends that all users of PTC products not upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 at this time since compatibility issues may exist.
Since Internet Explorer 7 is available for individuals to download today, and since many customers extend access of their Windchill implementations to suppliers and partners who may be using Internet Explorer 7, we are asking all PTC customers to please view PTC Technical Support TPI 134641 (https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=134641) for details on how you can prepare for the Internet Explorer 7 release. Key resources listed in the TPI include links to Microsoft's statements on the release of Internet Explorer 7, instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 7, links to Microsoft's toolkit for preventing automatic updates to Internet Explorer 7, and details regarding PTC's Internet Explorer 7 certification plans.
