Hadleys are pretty quiet. Not on par with the Profiles in terms of engagement, but they're up there.

i9s can be quiet if you grease them alot, they only get loud when they are dry
Well I sold the Profiles to fund a set of Kings w/ a stainless freehub. Hard to beat the CK hubs
Nah its pretty easy to be King. You just buy Hadley. 
woody's CK hub is damn near silent, unless you backpedal while coasting. I wonder why that is?
my king is near silent too, thicker grease seems to quiet these more than others for some reason

I gotta say using any grease thicker than the King lube can cause real problems. I tried it once with bad results. I assume you've seen the inside works of a King rear hub? Thick grease kept those gears from meshing and caused the hub to skip and not engage.

Have a high engaging hub (hope pro II trials/ss) and a regular 18pt dt swiss... much prefer the quiet, standard engagement.

I forgot Hopes are considered "high engagement". I rode a Pro II for a few months and didn't even notice it then or after going to the DT.
the trials version of the hope pro ii is 48t engagement (the regular pro ii is only 24t).
aren't the new hopes 40pt? not that that effects a discussion about older hopes...
they are, but i don't think they've officially launched yet.
no idea. it was shown at eurobike but they didn't indicated. i don't see why it wouldn't be compatible, they were showing it as a revision to the pro 2 platform
just did a google - in the comments on the bikerumor article someone inquired to hope about backwards compatibility and apparently the new freehub won't work with older hubs.
They said it wasn't reverse compatible. I think the mod is on the hubshell, not the pawls.

10 minutes with a file is a lot cheaper than a new hub and wheel build.
