hey are bmx and euro profile cranks the same. i know the bb is different but can you use the same cranks on euro and bmx b.b.s?

i think some of them r the same. but the american ones are super heavy so you'd prolly wanna buy the euro MTB or BMX ones... the only thing i would be worried about with the BMX ones is getting a spider for it. if you can get a spider for the BMX ones i assume they're the same

Profile has two types of cranks, race, and SS. They use two different thicknesses for spindles. There's also DJ, but it's a mix between the two.

Race and DJ use 3/4" spindles, while SS uses a 7/8" spindle. The Race has skinny (relatively speaking) arms, and DJ and SS use fatter arms. If the crankset is sold as "MTB", it is a set of Race arms with Euro (aka MTB) bottom bracket cups, and a 3/4" spindle. I have seen some sold as "DH", where they are SSarms and 3/4" spindle with Euro cups.
