So with the closure of BB and many local DH spots being overcrowded, closed or just blown apart...I thought maybe it's time for me to get baak into trailriding. I really love riding DH but I thought this is the perfect opportunity for me to progress as a rider and develop more skills as well as getting into better shape. So I went to my LBS and picked up a Hollowpoint Team. I read as much as I could about it and talked to some owners of the bikes and all has mostly great things to say about it. In the end the price and spec is what sold me.

So here it is....I did some major part swapping and it took me a while to accumulate all the right parts but it's finally done. Sorry about the cluttered pics I tried to take some outside but the lighting was terrible so I had to take them in my workshop...so who ready to hit the trails:D

oh! big thanks to Weagle for helping me with the suspension set up..since Iron horse gives you absolutely no kind of info about the bike except the generic owners manual that comes with any new bike...but I digress....D

How come you don't run the crossmax Xls on that bike? The black and white would look sick on the silver frame. They seem to be pretty damn durable for how light they are. I couldnt believe Sam Hill ran them on his MTX bike, You can convert them over to 20mm in the front right?

anyway sick bike and build let us know how it rides!

I really don't like dealing with proprietary parts if something goes wrong with the wheelset I only have one option...I would rather have more choices...plus I would not be going tubeless...D

Looks really nice... wonder if Super Blow has any of those in stock for me to play with?

But I don't know if I can resist the call of the 5 Spot...

I would love to now that it has finally stopped raining and all, but I have plans to go boarding up in Mammoth over the weekend. As long as nothing got washed away, San Juan will be super nice.

Are you going to climb it, or shuttle? It really isn't that tough a climb because it never gets steep.

kiss my butt  ......i'm on the 4th time punkass!!!! :p

btw, where's my rear wheel?????? :sneaky:

I took it apart because I hated that loud whir noise it kept making. When I put it back together there were a couple extra parts left over. I figured I didn't need them and went for a ride anyways. I guess that was a bad idea...

Ha, I do actually pedal uphill on ocassion. Pretty much when my friend is in town, so during my winter break (when I am not snowboarding) and a bit over the summer when I am not road-tripin.
I acutally did come close to glueing myself to my BCD with epoxy while I was in Whistler.

Dude the bike looks sweet, Did I miss what model Kenda you have on there?
I put a set of the Kenda something or anothers on my bike the end of the summer and I loved them!!! I went big for an XC bike but I was very happy with them.

Have you seen anywhere online to buy just the frame for the bike? I know it's still going to be way out of my price range but I'm curious anyway.

Dreadlocks + Industrial Adhesives = potential for bad things...

Looks like you have to come back out here again and ride all the XC stuffs. Perfect Gooseberry and Little Creek machine. I intend to build something very close to that this spring.

Yeah, D, my LocoMoto rocked heavily on those trails, so the Hollowpoint should be even better.
