I got a demo 9 a couple of weeks ago and i am finding with a 450 pound spring it is to undersprung for me, i really need to upgrade to a 550 or 600 but manitou has nothing in stock right now and wont tell the 30th of july, and i am going to whistler on the 25th. I really need to get a spring before then and i was thinking about giving progressive a call, i think there springs fit on swingers but cant find a straight answer anywhere. Isnt the od just like .07 inches smaller on the swinger or something.

Anyway if anyone can help me out it would be appreciated, or if someone knows somewhere with a 9.5x3.0 550 or 600 lbs spring that will fit on a swinger please let me know. I basically am willing to do anythiing to get a spring that will work, cause it is essential to make my trip work out.

Thanks In advance :) :help:

Couldn't you just run higher air pressure to compensate for lack of preload. This isn't ideal but I did it when I first got my 5e. I was in the same situation. I still bottomed it on some stuff but it teaches you to "ride light". Either that or buy a backup shock with the right spring.

tried the air preasure idea. running 175 psi, volume in all the way, and full compression and preload. I really cant ride it like this, i am gonna need to get a spring if i want to ride it hard.

Hmmmm.....no springs in stock?

I just called manitou up today (I have a demo 9 also with a 400 lb spring....way too soft)

I cant remember what they didnt have in stock but they had 3 weights available......I think I got a 450, a 500 and a 600. One of the weights between 450 and 600 in increments of 50 was sold out, but I got a combo of 3 of the ones that were in stock. So they should have them....
