There is a girl that races at Plattekill, I forgot her name but she makes Armor for girls. I think it's call Danger Girl.

if i remember it correctly there are female specific dainese jackets...
then again the dainese stuff should fit pretty ok, two female friends of mine are using Dainese and are quite happy with the fit!

There's the diaphragm and the pill that I'm aware of... there's probably more though.
Funny...that's what I was thinking ;) And yes, check out this thread for women's specific stuff Mud Hunnies Forum

Yes, www.dangergirl.com does have some women's specific armor. As a woman, I would definately recommend trying on a bunch of different styles. I have tried on the 661s and they aren't bad (just don't go for the hard plastic defender...it's WAY too big and doesn't tighten down enough for me). I have also tried on the Rockgarden Flak Jacket. The small wasn't bad, but the arms were really long. Needless to say, I haven't made the big purchase yet, but I will be in the near future. Good luck in the search :thumb:

Rockgardn's '05 Flakjacket has adjustable arm lengths on the 3 adult sizes and there are also now 3 youth/junior sizes with fixed arm lengths. What's really cool about the adjustable arms is that they are also removable so you can go short sleeve. The '05 Flakjacket is totally redesigned and much lighter and nicer for the same price as the old one.

Try dainese, they fit the best. Your probably gonna have to special order a small form your shop but its definetly worth it! I bought a medium and its too big!

My wife is 5'8" 135 with a smaller build if ya know what I mean..... man I hope she doesnt read this. Anyway does a small sound about right? Ive narrowed it down to the 661 SP-1, Dianese, or the Rockgarden. I like the fact that the arms zip off if need be.

I second the recommendation on the 05 Rockgardn Flak Jacket's. Mark has come through and answered all of us who have been asking for smaller jackets. This year the Rockgardn product line up looks sick. Can't wait to get my hands on some of the products in the coming weeks.

I would think that the adult S/M Rockgardn would be a good fit. I am 5'10" and ~150# and it fits me like a glove. Depending on her torso proportions she might be the largest youth size (youth arms are fixed though :( )

I have seen the new 661 stuff and it doesn't compare to Rockgardn's '05 line. At a glance a lot of armor looks very similar but what I know about RG stuff from Mark is that he strategically places more padding with less holes to actually offer more protection than even suits with the exact same plastic molded shell bits. He also goes through a bunch of samples bouncing them off guys like me to get feedback until it's as good as can be. He will be the first to tell you Dainese is a superior product but that's not his competition. In the realm of under $200 armor RG owns it technically speaking. If you live in a super hot area then you might consider plunking for the big D but otherwise RG is very hard to beat.
Bender is riding RG this year and he just took this bail at rampage and walked away where most of us would have been :dead:

I'm not saying the armor did it but you know it couldn't have hurt! Your wife goes this big right? ;)

I have the Dianese and love it. Maybe I should just get her one too. We go ride in hot conditions a lot. How is the small for sizing. Will it be ok for a 5'9" 135 girl?

She thinks she doesnt ride well enough to justify the price of a Dianese.... I know it doesnt matter if you want the best. Its protection right?
