And no 1 1/8 straight steerer neither, welcome to the Oldtimer club of mine.
You would think there would be a sale on them somewhere. Though it kinda looks like most online shops might have already dumped them and some don't even list 26" 36 Floats for sale at all....

Almost tempted to buy this and run it with a 26" wheel, but I don't want it to make my bike any slacker or screw up the handling.

^^^ I'd bet running the 150 fox 650 fork vs a 160 26 fork is nearly a wash in terms of geometry. Run it with your 26 bike then you've got it if you upwheel in the future or at least its easy to sell later.

Too good a deal to pass up--looks like I've started my 650 parts collection process for the next rig whatever that ends up being.

I need @kidwoo's opinion on it before I do anything. :D
I'm not kidwoo but I'm going to go ahead and suggest you don't replace your warped rotor. Instead, try and face down the brake mounts. Once you've done that (because someone on RM actually owns the obscure tool and was also kind enough to post it out), go ahead and replace your warped rotor anyway - but with one smaller in size, since you couldn't have possibly bought the same size one again. After all that's what caused the problem in the first place!

:D

The 650b fork at 150mm has the same a-c as the 26 at 160mm. It's also got a couple mm more offset, but I'm not too worried about it.

And yeah, that's the 20mm axle.

Wait, what did I do?

You have too many steps I think. You got a flow chart with rotor material densities?

lowers ain't cheap.
They are when you get a good deal on a fork and sell a 27.5 lower that is brand new to someone looking to convert.

I converted two 26" float 40's I already owned to 275 and sold the 26" lowers and had very little out of pocket cost.

I'd imagine a fair Amount of guys with 26" forks who want to upgrade to 275 would be willing to trade or buy your brand new 275 lower to get upgraded at a budget rate

Yup. 130mm-170mm or 140mm-180mm depending on the model.
I could be wrong, but it looks like these may not go to 170 like I hoped. Depends on the topcap, air spring, and damper assembly. I'll have to pull mine apart when it comes and see what internals it has. I was hoping to run 170 to get closer to the a-c height I want on a Nomad.

I thought these are 110-160mm, not 130-170mm options, as posted above. And the 180mm models are 130-180mm compatible.

You just need a different axle to make it 20mm though.
Doesn't this come with the 20mm axle kit? 15mm installed, 20mm axle kit in a bag in the box. It should.

This is what Fox told me, that there were only two air springs, the 160mm and 180mm, and all the forks were based off these. The forks sold as 170mm were just 180's with a 10mm spacer installed, and the 140/150/etc forks were just 160's with "x" many spacers installed.

So I'm guessing these are max of 160, but it'd be awesome if for some reason they were 180's.

Right on. 180s have different lowers. Check out this photo and compare to the Backcountry link....

If it were an aftermarket packaged fork, yes, but I think it's an OE model with just the 15mm axle. I'll find out tomorrow though!

You're right, my bad - that's what happens when I go off of my (sometimes shitty) memory. Sorry if you wound up ordering something based on my (mis)-information.
