Wow, I have those same exact ones for a couple years now no issues.
those are 2-3 yrs old and had been shoe gooed for a while. last few pairs i’ve had all started to separate around the toe box after a few months months. I wish they were sewn there...Wow, I have those same exact ones for a couple years now no issues.

My Freeride Pros are looking solid after 6 months. Prolly just jinxed myself though.I wonder if the new Impact Pro or Freeride Pro have fixed the 2-part sole separation issue.
My Freerider Pros have about 3k miles on them and are holding up amazingly well. Best shoes 5.10 has made in my opinion, but I haven't tried the Impact Pros yet.I wonder if the new Impact Pro or Freeride Pro have fixed the 2-part sole separation issue.
I just got a pair after having the original freeriders for about 6 years. The quality on the pros seem to be top notch. They are a bit stiff for my liking so far, but I only have 2 rides on them so far, so I’m hoping they’ll break in a little.I am looking at getting the freerider pro's. I have seen multiple people with them that like them a lot.

I'm a fan of the reinforced toe box. Keeps your toes happy in the rocks and keeps water out better too. It does a weird creasing thing when you flex the shoe (because the toe is made of stiff rubber) and I was worried it would cut into the top of my foot on long rides but I never ended up noticing anything.I am looking at getting the freerider pro's. I have seen multiple people with them that like them a lot.

Condition 420Unfortunately, no ASTM Condition is defined at the moment for BMX riding, so it's very difficult to evaluate how this experience would translate for off-road mountain biking.
Wife likes the fit of those but the soles got eaten to shit by her spank spike pedals, after 6 months they were no good. She's currently got Freeriders for trail riding and a pair of freerider pro's for this DH season.Couple of mates are running the Speshy 2FO (?) flat shoes and they rate them
Serious question- what do you consider their "trail" shoe? Freeriders? Hellcats? I'd be tempted to say the Kestrels are more their trail shoe, but they don't make a flat pedal version of that model to my knowledge.Their DH shoes >>> their trail shoes.
The difference is staggering.
Freerider / VXI / EPS as opposed to Impact / Karver.Serious question- what do you consider their "trail" shoe? Freeriders? Hellcats? I'd be tempted to say the Kestrels are more their trail shoe, but they don't make a flat pedal version of that model to my knowledge.
To be fair, I don't think those shoes are approved for fagon wheels, so if you're using them with that limousine of a hardtail you just got, I think your opinion is null and void.Freerider / VXI / EPS as opposed to Impact / Karver.
Thank you! I ran over some roxx today, that bike never disappoints!Btw, your DHR is so baller...hope you can run over east coast rox with it soon.
Yup jinxed myself for sure. The upper portion is now coming apart where it rubs my crank arm while pedaling. Will post picture for reference. My Freeride Pros are looking solid after 6 months. Prolly just jinxed myself though.
Apologies if this has already been covered in another thread, but how sticky are the Teva Links soles? I am relatively new to flats, so I'm still firmly in the stickier the better camp. The uppers on my '07 Sam Hills are still at 95%. Too bad the pedal wear on the soles has relegated them to bike park maintenance days. And they don't sell the replacement soles or ground up rubber repair kits anymore.
But the new Freeride Pros I got are pretty good shoes (5 months in, anyway), and a bit lighter. I'm thinking I'll start grinding up the soles on my old shoes to fix the new ones when the soles start to wear. Might try to fix my Teva Links with it, too. Those are still my favorite flat shoes of all time, and the uppers are nearly as tough as the Impacts, but they breath better, and are more water resistant.
This shoe vagina opened up last week. The soles are looking pretty haggard though so it's probably about time for a new pair any way.Yup jinxed myself for sure. The upper portion is now coming apart where it rubs my crank arm while pedaling. Will post picture for reference.
I think they stopped making them 4 years ago.Apologies if this has already been covered in another thread, but how sticky are the Teva Links soles? I am relatively new to flats, so I'm still firmly in the stickier the better camp.
They were apparently rad but were discontinued probably 3 years ago at least.Apologies if this has already been covered in another thread, but how sticky are the Teva Links soles? I am relatively new to flats, so I'm still firmly in the stickier the better camp.
