That's a killer deal. Good enough you can buy an extra shock for when the clevis eats the first one. :p

But really, those bikes are pretty decent, very adjustable in stock form.

Much better than the ultra fragile carbon version, and that's cheap enough to add a cascade link from the get go to help with bottoming.

How does the atak cleat compare to spd? I like how little movement it takes to unclip from the spd, vs crank bros where it feels like you have to twist your leg off to get out because they have so much float.

I haven't ridden a SPD or Crank Bros in forever. There is more float than SPDs so I imagine you gotta twist more than a SPD to pop them off. They do make a 10* float cleat if you want it to feel more SPD? https://www.sram.com/en/time-sport/models/pd-atac-eclt-a1

I'm a long-time Time user. I tried Shimano one time in all of that, and couldn't deal with the "locked-in" feel. Time has much more float. That said, I've never not come out of my pedal when needed. The 10° cleat didn't work for me. I'd pop out of the pedal all the time. It felt like it was well worn. Took me a while to realize they'd changed the ° of engagement on entry level pedals.

I know sales are going to be good this year, but I couldn't say no to 29x2.5" DHF EXO+ for $35 each. Although I'm not sure if they're Maxxgrip or Maxterra, either will work.

edit: From hunting elsewhere against the product code they're likely oem white patch Maxxterra. Which given I was going to order some of exactly that from Jenson for $40 each, I'm happy with $35 each instead.

Tyres turned up yesterday, ~1080g each. Same markings other than the white Maxxis as the DHF I have on the front already, no mention of TPI on old or new ones, so not sure.

For the Aussies that know what an arc8 is, $2850 for frame and shock. I have no idea if they are any good.....

Weren't those confirmed to be rebranded Chinese catalog frames a while ago in inkbike?

let me know if anybody sees a 200x50 or 7.875x2.0" shock. Looking in particular for a lightweight air shock with some level of compression adjustment.
