Ah... You just meant personal preferences. Fair enough. I have plenty of those myself.
Eg. I fucking hate curved/angular outer pedal edges. This is because I like to roll my foot over the edge in certain riding situations. So like it to be a defined straight edge.
For that reason alone I'm not a huge fan of Vaults or Atlas'. Atlas also have a large bearing bulge on the pedal body close to the axle/crank. The inside edge of the pedal/crank face is another place I like to move my foot to in certain situations.
Neither of these things probably even occur to many a sticky sole cycle specific shoe user. Nevermind bother them.
Im with you there on angled outers. My go to is just a cheap ass black large platform E13 plastic with long pins. No fanciness. Just works and offers good feel with my go to Unparalleled mid cuts with lace covers. $50 pedal with $75 shoes and thats kangaroo currency.

For the undamped fork aficionado, Jenson have some amazing prices on the Fox 38 factory grip 2 fork 27.5 299US$ (415CAN$). For the canucks, they won't ship them to Canada. I had one shipped to a warehouse next to the border an hour away from my home. Annoying, but worth the trip if not too far.

Hows that box One stuff work?

Building my son a bike and the wide range Box1 and the Box1 Dh are on Cheap! , and my GX DH derailleur pivots are slagged out.

No idea, I think I read that the cassettes were Sunrace or similar, there's no possible way the shifters could be worse than Shimanos.
I need to see what the cable pull is on my TRP 12spd shifter to see if I can use it with a Shimano mech as the TRP mech is a bit shit.

Box 1 mtb drivetrain is pretty terrible.
Fairly poor shifting from new. Weak AF derailleur and incredibly poor cassette life. like sub 200miles and the 13t sprocket began slipping under load. (Emtb. granted. But even so. WTF?). UK BOX distributor replaced the chain and cassette. Replacement cassette and new chain started slipping even sooner than the first.

For the couple of Aussies, there's 20% off these TRP Trail EVO brakes, $255 for a full set seems pretty cheap.
But you have to have large hands or replace the stock levers.

OneUP sale is on;

V2 dropper for $148, V3 dropper for $216, and alloy bar for $63.

I've got them all, would bang again.
Especially the alloy bar if you must go 35mm.

I just ordered a V3 dropper and a Switch Cinch spider for the fat bike.

Does anybody know if OneUp are about to drop the Switch spider and chainrings from their product line? There is almost no stock left. I really like that system and I have it on all my bikes. It would be a shame if they stopped supporting it.

I asked OneUp when Transmission if they were going to make T-Type chainrings. They said, "we sell so few of those that it's not worth the effort. You can use the current ones fine but they'll be a bit noisy at first until they wear down."

I thought they'd already dropped it given how long I've seen people complaining about lack of stock.

Well, that sucks! Good thing I have 4 brand new switch chainring at home, waiting to be installed. I'll be OK for a little while with these.

The deals that are out there now on frames/completes are ridiculous. My trail bike better not break next year after I ignore these sales.

Arrgh, I dun fucked up.
Thought I found a cracking deal on some NOS XTR cranks but it seems I purchased all black XTs with an XTR chainring.
Still, 190 Aussie Dollars delivered is okay.
They should be a bit smoother riding than Saints on the hardtail.

$400 + install unless you do it yourself, yeah?

I'll say this though... it was less than that when I sent my fork in to Fox for warranty evaluation for a blown rebound circuit in the Grip 2 damper. The total for a full fork service, the upgraded damper, and shipping was just a few bucks more than MSRP on just buying the Grip X2 damper. Also it's 100% worth the upgrade.

No idea about reshimming a Grip 2 VVC. I'm sure you can, and get moar compression damping as a result. But I'm not sure that you'll get the other benefits of the X2 damper e.g. more usable compression damping range and better decoupling of compression and rebound circuits. I'm no savant, idiot or otherwise.

So you had Fox upgrade the damper during service? Did they end up covering some of the cost under warranty? Maybe this is the way I should go with my 38.
