I know, I have one on my cart!
I bought one, I think I actually posted the deal earlier in this thread. Crazy deal, there's a coupon code you can stack to get it even cheaper. Decent shock also, Fluid Focus is doing some re-working with them, I might send it over to them to get it re-tuned for my big ass.

If anyone looking for a trail or a fatbike brakeset.
You can get the Dominion A2 bronze frt for $77 and rr for $125.
If you bundle it with rotors and a bleed kit, Hayes slaps another 25% off.

I'm sure it's so your seatpost moves out of your way on hard compressions.

A friend has one and loves it, I quite like the offset stays look plus you can put a decent bike light there.
The geo is a bit weird for me, I don't ride with my heels like Gary so the STA is too steep and the stack is a bit low with a non stupid fork.

I have been searching for a Honzo ESD frame as I read some ramblings that they are a bit more compliant in the rear than my Torrent.

Those were Seth's heels... But shhhh.... I sneaked them back while he was out ripping off poor punctured tyre commuters. A strange little bald man in a gimp suit answered his door. Took the shoes from me and proceeded to llck them clean before returning them to the dungeon.

I think @FlipSide has an ESD?
I'm used to my Transition having a straight line front to back.

I know

Maybe re read what I said tho.
My choice of the word "pre-cavitated" doesn't actually determine whether the verb is being used to describe an action, occurrence or state.
What I was saying was fairly obvious by the following "so you don't have to"

I've been looking for the coil version for months now. It seems that I found the single item in "the industry" that isn't on sale?

Jenson has the 38 Performance Grip 2 29 at just $500:

^they're 64% off on jenson if you're brave (bold cycles appears to be on a hiatus of an ambiguous sort at the moment):

also, similar discounts on rm slayers (again, if you're brave):

i've seen half price deals locally (vancouver) on full build slayers as well.

Bold was acquired by Scott maybe 2-3 years ago now

edit: acquired in 2019 https://www.pinkbike.com/news/scott-now-own-a-majority-share-in-bold-cycles.html

however, it would seem new models for the Bold brand were paused for MY24/25 to "mitigate inventory issues" https://www.pinkbike.com/news/bold-cycles-to-pause-new-models-through-2025-to-mitigate-inventory-issues.html

I can testify, as I just received my Slayer A30 from Steed Cycles yesterday. At 2350$cdn (50% off) and free shipping for the whole build, it was a gamble I was willing to take.
our family bought 3 bikes on decent sales from Steed in 2024! wife and I both replaced our roadies with new graveleurs and we got a e-cargo bike too.

i picked one up in december when they were $300. it's got the VCC damper, which is a damper in name only.

is it worth it at that price? or does the damper spoil things?
most people found it underdamped and had to resort to running higher air pressure as a result, which created some other issues.

some details here:

i picked up the '24 grip2 vvc upgrade kit i mentioned in that thread, although i'm unsure if i'll install it (not a very straightforward installation) or just drop an MRP lift damper in it.

SDG Tellis is $90 on jenson. The total post length seems a little higher than some equivalent travel posts, but it’s a really nice light lever action and totally rebuildable.

Not sure if anyone uses eBay Plus, but if you do a bluff membership cancellation they will probably give you a gift voucher.

I joined again yesterday, then hit cancel because it offers no benefits blah blah and they gave me a $30 Aussie Dollar voucher if I didn't cancely membership.

Yeah, it's often cheaper than shopping with the seller's own website.
I'm sure I could get one A-Bomb proof flat earth pedals from Wish but that's not for me.

but in the initial intended way, with auctions? that seems to have lost its attractivness, in germany ebay introduced at some point another service, ebay kleinanzeigen (classifieds), that got spun out and these days if you want to sell something used, you sell it there. ebay is just another plattform for buying new stuff, like aliexpress et al

Nah I don't bother much with auctions, unless it's some old tool/s or something hipstery.
I'd say nearly 50% of the tools I buy new would be from eBay, for German or Japanese tools Amazon is the way to go. The prices for Stahlwille tools in Aus is pretty insane, but I won't buy much more of their stuff as it's not all that good, same with Hazet.
Japanese and Taiwanese tools FTW.
