Except for the waste. I'll gladly swap pads.whoa...might be in for a set. Brakes are so cheap nowadays that it makes more sense to swap the entire unit than to replace the pads. Pads are $40 for most brakes...$120 for a complete setup? Yeesh.
mt6/8's were also recalledMagura is nothing but trouble. I find MT6/MT8 much harder to keep in a working condition than any Shimano model.
Yeah. I sent mine to Magura for the recall. They came back with a leaking master cylinder and had to be sent back.mt6/8's were also recalled

And a big bag of spare o-rings.You should've demanded a set of Gustavs (and a couple 211.74 mm rotors). Kidwoo would be so jelly...
Had a chance to ride them or get them mounted yet? What was your total after shipping and customs?Mine finally got out of customs. They are pre-bled, and the calipers are fvcking massive.
What bikes are you putting them on?I sprung for them this morning. JEJames had a 5% coupon, and that pushed me over the edge. 127$ total with shipping. That's cheaper than new XTs, and pretty close to what I think OEM xts went for. Will let you all know when they arrive. Won't be able to ride until the spring, unless we get another crazy winter without snow.
That seems rare for both hoses to do that, strange. Fwiw I had Jagwire Hyflows on a set of Formula Oro's. Good product, especially for how much they cost. They are the same hoses that Avid gets supplied with for their brakes. What bikes are you putting them on?
I just bought Jagwire Magura MT kit because both hoses sprang a leak in the hose-banjo joint, and new MT hoses run for >$50/piece. Their banjos are proprietary so there is no good alternative on the market.
I haven't had time to install them yet; I probably won't get to until next week. Shipping from Germany to California was $9, no customs taxes. All in was $135.Had a chance to ride them or get them mounted yet? What was your total after shipping and customs?
At least it's an easily identifiable problem with a concrete fix...unlike Avids and Shimanos when you run into issuesWhat bikes are you putting them on?

They'll go on the DH bike, the rest will stay the same. Not sure what to do with the formulas yet, they have fantastic modulation and adequate power for trail riding, but they are very noisy in dry conditions, tend to drag constantly, and have white hoses which would clash with the stealth guy attitude of the rest of the bike. I am partial to shimano's undying reliability, and don't recall having felt the phantom menace that other people whine about. What bikes are you putting them on?

Yeah - it is, because everything else already failed on my MT8s - master cylinders, o-rings, one of the calipers is out of commission because the magnetic pistons cracked (and Magura won't sell you a replacement because of safety concerns). At least it's an easily identifiable problem with a concrete fix...unlike Avids and Shimanos when you run into issues
~29"Can you measure the hose for me I want to know ahead of time if I need a new 1
Mine mounted up with my Avid hardware fine. There better not be adapters necessary...I thought magura was done with the stupid shit. I'll keep my formulas if that's the case.
Measured 75cm bolt to lever. It might just fit on my fox 40. I probably need a longer hose to be safe.
I have a Fox 40 Hybrid-Air that came off a 2012? (maybe 2013?) Trek Session 9.9. It has the weird IS adapters that make it so you only need a 160mm IS-PM adapter for a 203 rotor. My Shimano adapter did not clear both the pistons. There better not be adapters necessary...I thought magura was done with the stupid shit. I'll keep my formulas if that's the case.
