help. i'm trying to replace the seals on an old psylo.

i'm at the part where it says:
4. With a 5 mm hex wrench, loosen the shaft bolts five turns and firmly tap
them with a plastic faced mallet to separate the shafts from the lower tubes.
TIP:TAPPING THE BOLTS RELEASES THE PRESS-FIT BETWEEN THE LOWER
LEGS AND THE SHAFTS.
Was able to get the bolt to release just fine on the non-uturn side of the fork. the other side seems to be stuck. maybe i'm not hitting it hard enough? I'm using a rubber mallet. Should I try something a bit harder? The only other seals I've ever changed where on a boxxer and i don't remember having a problem hitting the bolt in.

Any thoughts?

find an old 5mm and cut off the L bend, or buy a T handle 5mm allen wrench. Stick the stub or T handle into the bolt and whang away with less fear of junking up the allen interface or the rebound hole.

Do you think that's it? That I'm just not hitting hard enough?

And Sanjuro...if I can fix up and sell enough of my bikes lying around then maybe me and a new bike will be soon enough.

Seriously, I agree with BMW. I bet the old seal has probably melted into some kind of wedge, so it is a force-applied issue.
