Well. The doc who I saw in August and Sept assured me that on my next flare up he could handle things with a phone call and a prescription, now he’s telling me I need an in-person visit and next Tuesday is the earliest I can get in.
Goddammit.

I’m hoping I can drive at the time of my appointment, but I’m canceling all plans and activities until then. These flare ups usually mean a day or two of crawling to the bathroom and then back to bed.
Monday usually has free roam of the upstairs and the dogs mostly stay downstairs. But she is getting stir crazy and has been venturing downstairs. Today I learned she can walk through the dog gate without issue and that makes it even funnier now. The dogs are so jealous, it's awesome and she's a total shit about it.

First one was a life-saver for me. Night and day difference from when I went in for surgery and when I came out.
How long was the recovery and rehab?
Recovery and rehab were 6-ish months, IIRC. I actually flew to Frankfurt for a work trip about 2m after my surgery.

welp. at the vet. waiting for the 15yo dog to go down. that's a good run. ol max had a shit start to his life (found tied out with a chain grown into his neck) but was always the sweetest, friendliest dog. an example for us all. but his legs just didn't work any more.
