Putting commuting tires on my 29er MTB Rims

I am putting together a Voodoo Dambala and want to use it as my Capital Forest trail bike as well as my work commuter. I purchased the Sun Ringle Highrider 29er wheelset built up from the 29er Rhynolites which supposedly have a rim width of 27.5 mm. Will 700x32 slicks work on these rims? Am I risking rim damage in this situation? Should I move up to 700x37 slicks (keep in mind that I already have the 700x32's in my possession)?

Thanks,
Tony

I don't think this is a problem.

They actually list that rim in the road section as well as for 29ers.

You should be safe with a 32mm tire, which I think is about an inch and quarter wide.

I would definitely run full pressure, probably 80-90psi. If you have a problem, I bet it would be a tire blow-off before rim damage, so be careful on the first few rides.
