He's being an ignorant attention whore by using the avatar and he should probably remove it, but I'm not going to force him to. That's my opinion and not an official stance of ridemonkey.com. :monkey: People have used the confederate flag as an avatar before and no one complained about it then.

Isnt that why there is a Sticky in the DH forum that states your avatar cannot be offensive in any way....... also states that if it cannot be displayed at full page at work its also not allowed?

I personally don't think the av is offensive, but i don't like what it represents. Some people that have ties to it might not say anything, but they probably don't want to stir it up. Probably easier for them.

How long before someone puts up the Swastika as their av and claim that they don't really believe in what it represents? They'll just claim it looks cool. They'll just claim they don't believe in it, and they'll still want it as their av to make everybody mad about it.

I think it should be changed. I thought that offensive avatars weren't allowed. I swear that about 5 years ago when i first found this sight, there were a lot of avatars that had scantily clad ladies on them. I remember one that had a girl with a camera looking at a girls' rear. Now i don't see any of them ( i miss them). Is it because there were people that thought they were offensive too? If so, the Av should be changed.

That thread refers to the borderline porn avatars and you've been here long enough to know that.

This thread is a perfect example of a no-win situation for a mod. Delete it and people will piss and moan about "internet rights." Leave it up and people will piss and moan about being offended.

Edit: I sincerely doubt psp really gives two craps about the history behind the flag. He's trying to get a rise out of people and you're biting like hungry fish. N8 would be proud.
