I read about a replacement kit for the QR20 Plus (I have an '03 Z1) on a MTBR DH post (I know, don't believe...), to change the dropout clamp to a bolt-on system, instead of having the toolless 'cam'-type clamp.

Does such an animal exist? I searched Marzocchi's site, unsuccessfully. Oh, and a pic sure would be nice!

BTW, that '05 Z1-150 with the aluminum steerer should does look like the ultimate trail fork!!

search, I think this question was asked as early as yesterday or two days ago. Brian said he doesn't have enough information yet.

Edit: The other question was about converting an 04 axle to 05. Why don't you just call marzocchi and ask them?

That was a question about avalability of new lowers without QR20 for those with 04/03 Z1s, if I recall. You can get bolt ons for both the axel QR and the fork tabs, my friend has them. I think he ordered through our LBS though, so I dunno where online.

And I have a bolt-on axle. It was a kit to replace the 'cam-type tabs' that I'm interested in.

I don't suppose that you have any pics of your buddies QR20 Plus replacement kit installed on his fork?

There are bolts used on the 04 forks that replace the QR lever, but they will not retrofit to your 03 fork.

........I believe what he's referring to are the ones stock on the dirtjumpers....there is just a bolt to hold down the tabs versus the quick release thingies :p

That's funny/odd. My friend broke the bolt on his '04 and was able to fix it with a replacement '03 QR lever and bolt kit he had in his toolbox.

...because the bolt diameter has increased and won't fit through the 03 casting. I found the hardware needed to mimic the 04 bolts, in the correct diameter at a good hardware supplier.
