Hi all,

I'm doing a budget-buildup of a Giant STP, and need some fork advice. I currently have a set of funn wheels with a front hadley qr hub. What kind of fork should I be lookin for. Not trying to spend over $350 if possible.

I've considered getting a new wheel w/20mm hub, but that'd detract from my fork budget...unless I sold my current wheel.... Any advice?

You can get 20mm hardware for that Hadley hub. It's not terribly expensive IIRC.
That should open up some more options for ya.

Just got off the phone with Hadley, and their pre-2009 QR front hubs are not convertible to 20mm. So...I'm stuck with QR.

if its 9 mill you can get a solid axle for it. i got it done at a bike shop for like 30 bucks, so glad i did it.

Get the Hadley 9mm thru bolt instead of the QR. It should work in that hub and will be a lot stiffer and safer than QR.

QR doesn't belong on DJ/street bikes imho.

Any suggestions for a 9mm thru-bolt fork for dj and freeriding?
