The Advocate has some Q & A for wes. Highlights:
When it comes to gay issues, what makes you a better presidential candidate?
I’ve been in the armed forces. I’ve been at the very center of the firestorm. I know what it’s like out there. And I’ve had people who have come up to see me about it since I’ve been out [of the service]—gay and lesbian people who need help.
So you support Massachusetts’s calling it marriage?
Yeah, absolutely.

Who cares? Sad that someone would choose to make their selection for leader of the free world based on their "gay-friendly" quotient. Whether it be according to political party, labor issues, gun control, abortion stance, etc. single-issue voting or voting according to "what-have-you-done-for-me-lately" is a blight upon the land.

:stupid:

While a candidate's stance on gay issues is something I might read about, it'll have very little weight when I choose who I vote for.

but if you were gay, you might find the issue critically important.

I'm disappointed that Clark looks gay on the cover. It's cool to be interviewed, photographed and support that community, but he shouldn't look like a friggin' member.

That's interesting, because his stance on it at the national level is the word "marriage" is a religious one, and it's up to churches to decide whether or not to recognize gay unions... but that at a governmental level they should be recognized legally as a civil union with equal rights and penalties to traditional marriage.

I guess he thinks that state governments can add whatever they want to that. Call it marriage, call it asdkjlfhadkjsfh... it really doesn't matter as long as its recognized by the courts.

It never ceases to amaze me what people will say or do to get elected. Next week he'll be on the cover of Conservative Christian Weekly, wearing a chasity belt and thumping a bible.

Also, was this issued through a legitimate source? You never know what those crazy lampoon people will be up to next....
