Hello everyone, I need some help installing a rear shock. I just bought the shock from DieselX on another post, You can read about the situation here
http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157051
What i was needing to find is the mounting screws and spacers for a fox vanilla shock to fit my 1999 specialized fsr. If anyone can help me out i would appreciate it. I am trying to get back into mountain biking but its hard when your bike is missing the rear shock.

Any help or info you can send my way would be awesome.

take care
Justin

you should be able to measure the space on either side of the shock eye mounts (both sides, both eyes) and then your lbs could order some spacers for the frame, or call specialized and ask them, might have some laying around, or fox really since that is the shock manufacturer

Have you had trouble hunting for the hardware?

I am pretty sure any shop (or maybe a good shop) can order them up. I ordered hardware for a 2001 Fox Vanilla rear shock recenetly without a problem, I think the shop went directly to Fox. I don't see why they wouldn't have hardware for '99 parts. It might even be the same as what is used on some newer stuff...
