I've been watching ebay for the last few months for a 7.875 x 2 shock for my bike. My current one is too expensive to rebuild.
First let me see if I understand the specs correctly. 7.875 is the eye-to-eye length right? And 2" is the length of the stroke?
I have seen a few shocks on ebay that are 7.875 x 2.25. Is there any leeway to use a shock that has a slightly different measurement or does it need to be exact? Would performance be slightly off or massively ruined?
