Why the f#ck do most bike-related videos (especially interviews) have super low volume for speaking parts, then crank up the (often crappy) music? What is the thinking here? Why not use the same levels?

More and more bike "articles" are in vid form these days so if I want the content I need to watch the vids. I'm sick of getting blasted once I turn the volume up loud enough to hear what is being said.

Old/white person problem...?

Real question: who the fvck cares what anybody in bike videos has to say?
Sadly, I do. Sometimes anyway. Much useful content that once came in text articles is now coming via video. I'm talking more about the short vids with info on new products, tech stuff, travel stuff, etc. Ten seconds of riding with cranked up music followed by some dude in a hoodie mumbling under his breath. So I turn it up, then get blasted with another ten seconds of riding followed by more mumbling.

Guess I'm just a cranky geezer. Get off my lawn!
