Do you have to register for a camping site ahead of time or is it a free for all when you get there? I have been searching the site and can't seem to find the info. Thanks!

Awesome! Hopefully I'll make it out there again this year.
Yeah we gotta start figuring out a plan. 4 person again? Or are you gonna solo it Westy? Or 5 person and recruit a ringer chick? Who's in? Peter, ghostrider, doug, T-dog, Sq-earl, Treesaw?

Oh and Heather, the solo riders get a special area to set up where teams aren't allowed. It's along the course towards the end of the lap. Be sure and register for it as soon as the reg opens, the solo class fills up REALLY fast.

Really want to do it, and think it would be a good one for solo, but we'll see where I am with the kid. I don't know if the wife will let me go out there twice in a month. (Friend getting married there over New Year's)

If I do go, I should be on my Niner built up SS. (ordered at Interbike - woohoo!)

About 8 months right now. So she's ready for the baby to get here.

No energy, hard to move around, tired all the time. Did I really read that Marla rode into her 7/8th month?

Should be good. I know she cant wait to get back on her bike and start drinking beer again.

Yup, as did I. I stuck to roads until it got really cold outside (just after Thanksgiving and the start of December) and then I put a lot of miles on the rollers and then the stationary bike. Some of us were REALLY lucky that we didn't get the belly until late. I really didn't have any fatigue or difficulty moving around until my last 2 weeks (and I was a week late). Best wishes to you and the Mrs. I can safely say that there is nothing like the experience in the world!!!

Thank you. We're both looking forward to it. I'm sure pics will appear in the Little Monkeys thread.

Yeah best of luck to you the missus and the little one on the way. By my math you were a little frisky when you got back from Old Pueblo this year, you must have been hanging out with Douglas too much.

My currrent plan: duo

Seems a bunch of people get there Thursday or earlier, some to stay, some to tape off a nice area. But like Echo said, solos get to setup along the finish of the course.

Your math is pretty accurate. I think it was getting to ride my old trails again. National's a definate if I go this next year. You know how much Douglas just loves that trail...

There was another trail called Hawes up there that Doug and I rode before the race. It's worth a ride as well. Though I think I'll be outvoted as I vetoed Fantasy Island last year. If we're down there, we may need to make a side trip out to Chiva Falls...

I didn't even see this thread and started my own in the 24-racing area. I'm there again this year. Undecided if we're getting a 4-man team together or doing a 2-man.

Camping is free... but the earlier you get there, the better. I think they open up camping Wednesday night? Am I correct?
