I was originally going to change my plastic magura brake levers to metal ones. Well, I also wanted to upgrade my shimano deore shifters to XTR. They are not much more expensive with the levers! My question is the ones I have found online say for long pull v brakes! I have Magura clara disks! Will these fit on disks brakes? If not where can I find XTR shifters with levers to fit disks??

are you sure you didn't find a shifter/brake lever combo? any shifters should work. My opinion is to pass on those metal levers. my plastic ones serve me fine
I'm not sure I completely understand the question, but the only levers you can use with Claras are Magura disc-specific (and I think only the Louise or Clara version). No other companies make levers that are compatible with Magura hydraulic brakes. I think you can order the metal replacement levers through magura fairly easily.
Funny you said that! That is what the guy at the bike shop said! But I emailed a guy named Jimi @ Magura and told him I wanted metal levers and also wanted to upgrade to XTR! And he told me I could buy them online most anyplace. Maybe he misunderstood me! But you are correct. I have shimano deore shifters and Magura clara levers! Maybe I need to get just xtr shifters and metel levers from magura???
Ok...just talked to the guy at the bike shop! He said that since my brakes are hydraulic, the pods and levers are seperate from each other! I will have to upgrade the shifter pods, then if I still want change the levers to magura metal levers. XTR pods are about $100 and Magura metal levers are $100/pair!
