i have a GT DH-i, it currently has 9" inches of rear travel, and i just bought a marzocchi super monster, yea...12" of travel, i figured im lessening the travel of the super monster to maybe 10", i was just wondering if there is any way to increase the rear travel of the GT, and also it even though it is a 9" travel frame, if it could fit a 9.5"x3.0" rear shock? probably sound like stupid questions, but i just wanted to know if its at all possible.

Don't know if it's possible but you could probably get away with a shock with a weird size of 9.0x3.0 (ie, avalanche).

Just make sure your Dogbone on teh Idrive can take teh added range of motion the new shock would deliver.

If the shock is longer over all or the stroke longer it might wreck the Idrive set up. They are designed around their shocks....it isn't like addeding travel to a simple single pivot....where all you have to worry about is clearance of the tire and frame and BB hieght.

It would be a expensive mistake.
