Quick (and possibly daft) brake line question.

Hey,

Just a quick one here, my front brake line has been rubbing on my forks and crowns for too long now, and its starting to eat into the paintwork. I've tried various cable tie set-ups, but the only way I can get the line to naturally sit away from the bike is to take the caliper off, rotate it 360 deg., and remount it. I may just be paranoid, but is there any way this could be detrimental to the brake?

Cheers

Ah right, I wasn't making myself clear there, apologies. I meant is twisting the line round going to be detrimental? I pretty sure I'm being over cautious here, but there was a wee bit of tension in it when I twisted it, and brakes failing is not something I want to happen. It's a Saint if that makes a difference.
