People like bikes, some people like mountain bikes, and those people usually like camping, and some of those people even like hiking. I'm in Portland, and my better half has demanded a weekend getaway. I need a place within a 2 hour drive of Portland that I **WON'T** need reservations at. So, it perhaps a place that most people wouldn't know about, or might have trouble accessing without a little clearance or a short hike. We'd leave tonight, dayhike tomorrow (or potentially hike in wilderness), and come back Sunday.
Her comment was "I envision waking up to the sweet smell of conifer bark..."
