2002 Monster. Im putting the stock springs back in. One end of the spring is wound tighter (closer together). Question.... Does this go facing up or facing down at the bottom of the fork. Please help just puttin it back together.

it doesn't matter, but i face mine down so the tighter coils are at the bottom
