I purchased a firm spring for my pike, are there any directions as to how to install a new spring?

Also, do I need any sort of lube on my new spring?

(2007 Pike 426)

Thanks.

For the spring:

Remove the top adjuster (watch for small detent bearing!!!!!!!)
Remove top cap
Loosen foot nut couple of turns
Place fork leg over oil catch
Tap foot nut with hammer (dead blow is best) to loosen shaft
Remove foot nut
Pull spring/rod out of fork
Scrape grease off old fork and smear on new spring
Insert new spring/rod
Replace foot nut and torque
Pour 30ml of oil (fork oil, synth motor oil, etc) into top of spring side (I know 15ml is official, open leg = more volume = more oil = better lubrication!)
Replace top cap
Replace ball bearings and adjuster knob

thanks!

I like your directions (like reusing grease) a lot better then the rock shox ones...(Yeah, I finally found them).
