Have you seen "Coffee and Cigarettes" by Jim Jarmusch? One of the vignettes is Tom Waits and Iggy Pop meeting for a cup. It's pretty funny stuff.

iggy and gibby haynes were in _dead man_, right? jarmusch is a good director. btw, there's a good interview w/ Waits in the new issue of Mojo.

Hm. I'm one for 'interesting' movies and directors, but Jarmusch always makes me think I'm seeing some freshman film student's first work...usually sort of promising, but generally too full of itself as a film. Plus I always fall asleep in them. It's like watching a high school literary magazine onscreen.

I had some hopes for coffee and cigarettes, if just for the Waits/Iggy scene, but just can't bring myself to rent it yet.
