The part down low by the two sets of falls are SURE to be a complete shitshow on the weekend. I'd strongly recommend a weekday outing to maximize the fun. I believe that a lot of the *really* techie stuff is the trail down by the falls.

Yeah - resort descent is quality. We added in Pete's Wicked one we got to the resort, then poached the Valley View DH trail to finish.

Be advised - this is really only a 1/2 day ride.

We will be taking turns watching kids in the afternoon so the wimmens can go for a ride, so that's perfect.

Throw in Rainbow and I think it's pushing 3K.

Head down Rustler's Ridge if you want to go mach-chicken on a flow trail. It's really, really fun.

Head down Rawhide if you want a bunch of gnar. Don't blame me if you bust yourself up.



Oh - and make sure to hit Pete's Wicked off the top before you head down to the gondi.

Well, that's perhaps my first or second favorite alpine rides I have done in Colorado. 3,400 feet of climbing, 32 miles. Perfect pace, AWESOME rocky tech on the first 1/3. 3.5 hours.

We took Pete's wicked, but accidentally took it all the way down to the bottom, so we had to climb sunshine up to Cathys cutoff. Then down Pioneer, and Wrangler Gulch.

Yeah - that's the way to do Pete's. All the way down to the lift. Climb is a small price to pay... Pete's is a hootenanny.

So, my friend tried hitching for 45 minutes, no ride. So what does he do? He rides the road back up to Dumont Lake. 28x18 gearing, but still...
