Race Face X-Type External Bottom Bracket System

took the red pill
Anybody know anything about these external BB systems. Saint group uses this too. What I'm wondering is this. If you run a chainguide, with a boomerang, like a MRP or EVIL (non-iscg) do you think with the total width of the BB being wider (due to external bearings) that this will push out the chainline too much? I don't want to go through the hassle of chainline problems again, but these cranks (Race Face and the new Shimano Saint and Hone Cranks with the External BB look pretty nice. Whadaya think? You just need to order the E-type version of the BB cups. Chainline is unaffacted.

the new BB system runs wider than a normal bb but with the same chainline, if you dont run a boomerang then you fit a little spacer behind the cup to keep the effective bb width the same (important since you cant change axle length).

ohio- ? older e-type cups? i think your talking about the ISIS type not the new X-type/saint
