Anyone running this combo. My XTR bottom bracket is pretty much cooked (lasted 18 months until I noticed it was trashed). The race face is cheaper and they say its "compatible" I just wonder if anyone has first hand knowledge.

I don't think Race Face makes a compatible BB with XTR.
According to Race Face: "Interchangeable with Shimanos XTR, XT and Saint BB cups."

Which cranks? If its the 960's the outboard bearings should work. Other than that it wont.
Yup, if it's the outboard bearings it works fine. I took the Deus cranks off of my hardtail as they had totally turned purple (from black) in the space of like 4 months, so I put the XTs I had on another bike on there for now. The RF BB is nicer than the XTR, the bearings are nicer, from what I hear anyway.
So yeah, it'll work perfectly...
