Ok,

Need a little info here.

Ive been racing (Dh & Xc) here in Hawaii for a while now, but pretty much none of the stuff we do here is sanctioned by anyone at all. Since Im moving back to the mainland, I know I'll need to buy a license to race, but, Im not sure exactly what I need.
NORBA is pretty much the big sanctioning body for most race series' around the country right? And they are an affiliate of USA cycling right?
So, do i just go to USA cycling and fill out a license form and that is the same thing as a Norba membership?

Or what?

Yep

Of you do any races in Oregon you'll need to get a one day for OBRA(Oregon's NORBA), they are avalivable at the race venue.

The Platty races are all NORBA. But lots of races have different sanctioning. You can almost always get a 1 day license if you need to.
