RaceFace was in this week unveiling their completely new line up for next year. I heard about some sneak previews. One of the hot ticket items was RaceFace carbon bar which has titanium reinforcement at the center where the bar clamps to the stem.

They mentioned a carbon seatpost too and a redesign of all of their cranks again for next year so that they become more competetive.

carbon post + RF seat post head = tons of warrenty problems for race face.......i like all of their products except that crappy post they make! i wonder what the hell they are doing to their cranks? i personally love their stuff, their cranks are the shiet, that's why i'm wondering why they are changing them  for XC racing the next lp's were sweet!

That was our first question...considering how RaceFace users tend to brutalize their equipment, isn't it a little bit of a stretch to be giving them carbon especially handlebars? You know how they break?

They answered that they built it for RaceFace users and no-one else. These are built really tough and will last and they will be made to. They have the technology and intend to use it. Following through with it isn't that big of a deal considering how cheap carbon really is.

Their cranks are too heavy to compete with XTR and FSA right now, I know for a fact that they are going to make something either better or comparable at least to what the competition has for next year.

I love my next lp's also but since they went to spline BB's that crank isn't getting as much notice because of the weight factor. They have been using more material in their BB's lately too and that will all stay only the materials are getting lighter again for everything.
