RaceFace cranks and Giant Glory - Do I need some sort of spacer?

I am sorry for the lack of pictures, I am working on that.

But I just grabbed this Giant glory, and it has a RaceFace BB and Race Face cranks, but they were removed when I got the bike. Now that I have them reinstalled, it seems like I am missing something because the cranks can slide about 1/8th of an inch side-to-side. Is there some spacer I should have on the spindle? Do I need to space the cups out more? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are evolve dh cranks, outboard bearing bottom bracket (gold?)

yeah, you're missing a spacer. The bb cups should have 2 (2.5mm I think) spacers on one side or the other. Subtract a spacer if there's a bb-mounted chainguide on there, that will thake the place of one.

Putting one on the spindle or on the BB cup threads will accomplish the same end.

Rockin! I guess the BB was just removed or installed incorrectly or something. The inside dust/water sleeve was crushed from whoever not putting the enough spacers in. But, now the cranks spin beautifully, I have the correct spacers in, and I didn't notice the little white spindle spacers that were all jammed on the end so my chainline is great too.

Thanks woody. I just need some brakes now I am riding this weekend! w00t!
