Had a race in 101 degree heat, with no wind whatsoever. Sixth race of the season, but the first that has been really hot... I placed well but I'm still paying for the effort. Basically have felt hung over all day.

Anyone have any hot weather survival tips/tricks?

Other than the obvious: drink tons of fluid/electrolytes in the hours before the race, during the race and after.

Cold water on the head helps a lot. Other than that ignore it, test have proven that much of it is mind over matter. Push yourself until you feel chills, that there is heat stroke setting in.
