I apologize for the spam but I hope this will gain some traction in the lounge. We are trying to raise money to build a new section of trail. So if you like mountain bike t-shirts here's a change to pick up a shirt for your collection and help create new trails at the same time.

Thanks everyone for taking time to check out my post!

May I suggest applying for a State of Maryland RTP Grant.
I have personally applied for and received multiple RTP grants for trail building projects, my most recent one was awarded in 2013, in the amount of $17,500 (in my state of MA).
IMO, applying is well worth the effort, the money is there for this kind of thing.

State of Maryland RTP Grant Program details:

Announcement of 2014 Grants - applications due July 2014

application MS-Word

application pdf mail in form

If you have a local mtb advocacy club, or a good rapior with the municipality (if being built on public/state land) I suggest parterning with them, they may have the connections/influence you need.

good luck.

We have - and thanks to our team we have been awarded a few different grants. However as you know trail work is ongoing so any way we can raise money we are all for. Thanks for the suggestions
