Last night's leftovers embellished with a bit more broccolini and cherry tomatoes. And sauteing up a whole big mess of mixed greens with butter, cream, garlic, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika.

Well for those interested, definitely give that all-belly porchetta recipe a try. Super easy and damn delicious. This pic is from about halfway through the cooking, before much fat had rendered and before the skin got all crisp and crunchy. I had more than half a pint of extra fat by the end, and that was with leaving some in the pan to cook potatoes. Only thing I would say is that you want to keep the rest of the meal pretty light - after all, you're basically eating bacon for dinner. Oh, and the sammies the next day were absolutely killer.

I don't get how some people can hate tofu. Fried tofu is so good - I mean it doesn't even taste like anything really, so just spice and flavor it with whatever you enjoy.

I reached out to my Ex. Orishi. She made this fried tofu in sesame oil. With Bean sauce and all sorts of veggies and sprouts. Her mom made Korean Pickles to go with it in a bunch of crazy forms. Not surprisingly I have not heard back from her. Shit was delicious.

That looks random, but good.

I can't wait until my green onions start growing again. Rather than spending $1-2 for a few sticks of them at the store...:banghead:

Related note, I purchased 4 or 5 honeycrisp apples the other day and when I rang them up at the till they came to $10. wtf is happening? :banghead:o_O
