Sam's Sourdough Waffles
This sourdough waffle recipe is easy to make and produces delicious waffles that are golden and crispy on the outside and super fluffy inside!
I put an extra half cup of sourdough mix, and substitute heavy cream + water for water...
BUT latest permutation is served with orange whipped cream (zest and juice of two oranges, pint of fat and powdered sugar to taste...)
Cauliflower roast with garlic, S&P, EVOO, smoked paprika.
Black beans simmered down with chx broth, onion, diced tomato, garlic, chiles in adobo sauce.
Thinly sliced carrot, red onion, squeeze of lime juice and fried queso de freir for serving.
The latest: had a 1/2 gallon of heavy whipping cream that we weren't likely to finish before expiration... so I tossed a bit of Greek yogurt in for the bacteria - now waiting patiently for it to be cultured, then gonna make it into butter. It's currently been about 24 hours and it's *real* thick and smells delicious.
