What rise bar do you run on your current bike?Don't know, that's why I'd need to test ride one. 664 stack on a large is a good 30mm more than I'm used to though.
On the two bikes I ride the most -What rise bar do you run on your current bike?
It’s got a 110mm long head tube. With a 15 or 20mm rise bar and no spacers it’s pretty low imo. I can’t ride it slammed or else I’m too far over the front for my tastes. I think Gary is correct about the low bb adding stack compared to other bikes.
Which linkage would you go for?
Oh yeah, you’re right on the 130 for the large, sorry! My bad.On the two bikes I ride the most -
(reach/stack/headtube/chainstay/wheelbase/bbdrop)
478/635/110/448/1259/30: has a -1 angleset (wolf tooth so no additional stack like a works) so there is some drift on those numbers. 30mm rise bar, 45mm stem and 5mm spacer.
485/630/110/438/1255/39: mid-high pivot so sagged chainstay & wheelbase are longer. 30mm rise bar, 40mm stem and 20mm of spacers.
Madonna V3 geo shows a 130mm headtube on the large, not 110? https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/madonna-v3/products/madonna-v3-frame-kit-raw. If I ordered one I'd start with the Rocker 60 and +5mm on the chainstays.
Great! Now my drivetrain can keep my rear brake lubed for more speed.
spoke to gamux guys last weekend at craft bike days. Dh bike for now is gonna be a race thing only.gamux? nicolai? kavenz?
I can't even tell what it's called. Bucefnl?Ugliest bike ever.
I think it's Bucefal. It's French.... nuff said?I can't even tell what it's called. Bucefnl?
Went to all that trouble to make a falling rate bike? WTF? Is it French?
Been recommending Airdrop and Bird to a couple of fellow Argentinians living in EU for no nonsense bikes at really good prices since a couple years ago. Trustable kinematics, good geometry and reasonable prices as you say.View attachment 203720
Not sure if I'm missing something but these things look like they haven't really munted any of the details, especially the price. Ticks a lot of boxes. A little bit chonky I guess, maybe an accessory mount thingy would be nice but yeah - for what you're paying thats a nice little no-nonsense bike.
that thing fugly but i did like the sx trail and my uzzi vp. the sx even came in root beer
O-chain it nao!View attachment 203715
Holy mother of bullshit. A falling rate single pivot outperforming complex multi-link suspension systems.
25 years in the making and the best they could do was this???
At least now we know how to control our Enduro!
is munt a verb?View attachment 203720

The Uzzi didn't have swoopy tubes, especially not the generation you had.that thing fugly but i did like the sx trail and my uzzi vp. the sx even came in root beer
it's almost perfectView attachment 203720

Nice job participating in the event! MTB-News said in their podcast that each bike will get an article. Can't wait for yours. Thanks man, I was just about to post it here!
y u no o chain? Thanks man, I was just about to post it here!
in the discussion for gun control, critics often ask “if the founding fathers of America could see how devastating and horrifying modern weopenry can be, would they have suggested each man may keep an arsenal?” When seeing this bike I suggest that those early pioneers of mountain biking would’ve discarded their balloon tyres if they could see the horrifying selection available to the modern mountain biker.
hellz yeah man. that thing looks fantastic. Thanks man, I was just about to post it here!
