not in Whistler anymore :/
That isn't really what you've done here though, is it? You've noted a glaringly obvious issue with the design. And are now deeming the issue to not exist. Simply because someone you say you respect didn't mention it. To me that's just weird.
I'm probably never going to use this product but from my own experience of how every pedal I've ever ridden with bearing bulges affects foot positioning I'm 100% confident these'll be no different.
i already have the bulge on my atlas so i will not notice them on the new ones

Broke a 12spd XTR, went through 2 XT replacements that got so much slop in them they skipped around liken a meth head under the bridge. Went AXS just to keep shifting consistent with the micro adjust, but really not into moar electronics.

Interested in the Madrone, some good ideas in there. Rough time for new bike products though, fingers crossed they make it.

"I got $10 on it!" :D
Was on an x0 9-speed for 10 years… more recently on an XO 11speed finishing my 3rd season and it’s been flawless. Was fairly disappointed with Shimano when I built up this bike in 2022. Switched it to SRAM (save cassette/chain) and haven’t looked back.

And that's great. For you. If you want to try these things.
But at least you're now aware of the issue a bulge on the inside of a pedal causes (some) others .Rather than just sitting going "lalalalalallallallala" with your fingers in your ears

The wide Q factor does not bother me. Pedal bulges even on the DH bike give me no issues. I would give the more sane version they have a spin. Hell I would even give the weird ones a go. Would be interesting to see how they feel underfoot. Would be a bit worried about durability of either model if you live with east coast rox. Time will tell.

Has anyone tried this stuff?

Kind of skeptic about the not clogging a valve....when it's job is to clog holes?

There seems to be a Sight 160 now.

Is it a recent soft launch that went under the radar...or did I simply miss it?

I think it's the most interesting bike of the whole Norco range. If I was in the market for a new bike, I think it would be this one.

I heard whisperings about this. Wonder if they'll ditch the Range eventually

***Edit*** "All Sight models now include the One Up EDC lite tool to have you covered on the trail" Nice

As a flat pedal rider who tries clips every few years then goes back, I'm interested to hear how true/effective their claims about eliminating the "ice" feel are. Last year I tried clips again - hated XT Trails because of the "dress shoes on ice" feel until you hit the float, but I liked the clip in/out mechanism. I tried Mallets, and with the 0 float cleat I liked the feel, but hated the vague/unpredictable clip in/out. I was told it was impossible to eliminate that greasy/icy feel of SPDs via pin height without impeding your ability to clip out. If I could get rid of that, I could see trying clips long enough that I might get used to them, rather than noping out after a couple of terrifying rides.

Did you try mallets with their metal shims? They make clipping in feel pretty solid and you can hear when you clip in as well.

I find it gets vague when my cleats are really worn out.

I think I was using the plastic shims / 0 float cleats. My issue was that the eggbeater could rotate and was always in a different spot every time I tried to click in. So I would resort to just stomping on the thing and hoping that engaged. But I'm not particularly coordinated.

I have a few rides on the new OneUp pedals and so far I am super stoked in how they work with a pair of Shimano GE-9's and lightly worn spd cleats. Clipped in but unweighted there is small gap between the sole and pins, but once weighted the pins make contact and help hold the shoe in place, less floaty for sure. Feels more secure than XT/XTR trails (because of that pin contact) and so far, no issues with releasing. YMMV, especially with other shoes. I can't say for sure I may be unweighting my foot a bit when releasing.

So what I gather is you like bulges on you DH bike (I assume seat), you'd probably be down for sideways weird bulges as well . Your open minded to trying new bulges....

Cool, i don't judge...personally I'm a fan of camels feet!! But hey...
