My good friend Dave Carr’s Endorphin (and his house, and all his belongings) were destroyed in the Malibu fires last week. Some of the Knolly welds held strong, as did the Race Face chainring, but the carbon cranks turned into a puffy little mess. Destructive testing at its finest!
Seriously though, just to give you an idea on how hot the California fires are...

The cranks seem to have done better than most of the frame though. At least you get some residue there, unlike what's left of thin alum tubes.This is what happens to Crabon cranks left out in the sun.

Coconut cream pie, lemon & olive oil pound cake.
Brussels in a balsamic mixture. Soon to get a crushed cracker/parmesan topping & some broiler time.
Beets, potatoes, turnips, yams, lotsa' onion and garlic.
All heavy with S&P, olive oil.
Paprika heavy turkey neck & gut gravy.
